Q: What different ranges of Thomas do you stock?

Take Along Thomas

Q: I have noticed 2 different types of grey track - will they connect together?
A: They won't connect directly but there are converters which will allow the 2 types to connect. These are available in most of the current sets and track add-on packs, even if they aren't listed on the contents. Check our item descriptions for more details or drop us a line to ensure the adapters are included in the sets or packs.

Q: Will Take Along run on the Wooden or Tomy plastic track?
A: No - The Take Along will only fit on its own grey plastic track

Q: Will the Wooden Thomas run on Brio wooden track?
A: Yes - The Thomas Wooden Railway system will work with Brio, ELC etc.

Q: I have a battery engine but it has stopped working?
A: First, check the battery. If a new battery still doesn't help then the cogs may be jammed. Turn on the engine and give it gentle push on the floor - this should free it up.

A: Yes - Tomy have a CareLine.

Q: What is Tomy TrackMaster?
A: TrackMaster is a new range from Tomy. The engines from the Motor Road and Rail range and the TrackMaster range are exactly the same however the track is VERY different and will only fasten together using converters included in some of the larger TrackMaster sets or direct from Tomy.

Q: Why is it hard to find the blue track?
A: The blue track from the Motor Road and Rail has been discontinued and replaced by the TrackMaster sandy track. The 2 will only fasten together using converters included in some of the larger TrackMaster sets or direct from Tomy.

Q: What is Tomy Motor Road and Rail?
A: Tomy Motor Road and Rail was the predisessor to TrackMaster. All the engines are compatible with both ranges however the track is very different.
